Ft Walton Crabshack Marina and Restaurant
The Ft Walton Original Waterfront Crabshack Restaurant & Marina offers direct access to Santa Rosa Sound and an easy run east to Destin, north to the Bayou’s, and west to Spectre Island and Navarre.
Completely rebuilt after hurricane Ivan in 2004, the Crabshack offers bunk lifts rated for 10,000, 13,500, and 18,000 lbs as well as wet slips for larger vessels. All lift slips are covered, have 30 - 50 amp shorepower, potable and non-potable water, and nearby pumpouts. Free pumpout service is included with slip rental.
Mid-grade fuel and transient pump-outs are available.
Just west of the wet slips is a dredged channel leading to the restaurant dock.

Wondering if you have any experiences with any Panama City marinas? Also have you ever cruised the Intercoastal from Panama City to the Destin area? If so how long did it take you and what are the conditions? Any marinas you would suggest in Destin?

I have some friends who have made the trip via the intercoastal, I’ll ask them on times and conditions.
I know our yacht club spends a weekend at St Andrews Marina - http://www.cityofpanamacity.com/cpc.aspx?local/coastalrecreation/samarina - in Panama City each spring.
As far as Destin Marinas go, I’m doing the research, but I’m not certain they have much in the way of transient slip rental. The Crab Shack seems to get a good 2-6 transients every weekend and has the advantage of covered lifts (for boats under 13,500 and 10′ in beam).
